On Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m., AJ Krodel, a former Villa Park High School standout, took the mound for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos as they were defeated 10-6 by the UC Davis Aggies in an NCAA Division I baseball contest.
The matchup was held at Phil Swimley Field at Dobbins Stadium and marked the teams’ third meeting of the season. In their previous contest Saturday, March 14, the Gauchos dropped a close 5-4 game to the Aggies.
Krodel gave up two earned runs in 0.1 innings and struck out one batter.
Next, the Gauchos will host the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium on Friday, March 20, at 4:35 p.m.
