In postseason play, Buteyets went 2-3-0 over five Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Originally from Chelyabinsk, Russia, Buteyets made his KHL debut during the 2023-24 season with Traktor Chelyabinsk. The Ducks selected him in the sixth round (178th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft. He also played for Chelmet Chelyabinsk in Russia’s second division from 2021 to 2024.
