ST. LOUIS – Leo Carlsson extended his point streak to seven games, recording a goal and an assist as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-1 at Enterprise Center on Monday.

Pavel Mintyukov contributed with a goal and an assist, while Mason McTavish and Chris Kreider also scored for Anaheim. The Ducks, who lost to the Chicago Blackhawks 5-3 on Sunday, have now won two of their last three games. Ville Husso made 22 saves in net for Anaheim.

Beckett Sennecke assisted on McTavish’s opening goal, extending his own point streak to eight games (one goal, seven assists). This ties Paul Kariya’s record from the 1994-95 season for the longest point streak by a rookie in franchise history.

The victory marked Anaheim’s first win against St. Louis in their last 11 meetings.

For the Blues, Jordan Kyrou scored their only goal as they sought their first three-game winning streak of the season. Goaltender Jordan Binnington was pulled after allowing two goals on five shots and was replaced by Joel Hofer, who finished with 19 saves.

McTavish opened scoring at 6:33 of the first period when his shot from the left boards deflected off Cam Fowler and beat Binnington to the short side. Kyrou responded quickly for St. Louis just 20 seconds later, tapping in a pass from Robert Thomas.

Mintyukov put Anaheim ahead again at 10:24 shortly after a penalty kill, beating Binnington from a sharp angle and prompting a goaltending change for St. Louis.

Carlsson added another for Anaheim at 5:58 of the third period by redirecting a Radko Gudas shot past Hofer, giving him ten points during his current streak (three goals, seven assists).

Kreider sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 17:23 in the third period, assisted by Carlsson.
