Anaheim Ducks forward Jansen Harkins is expected to be out for about four weeks following successful hand surgery, the team announced on Mar. 31.

The announcement matters as it affects the Ducks’ roster and depth during the ongoing season.

According to the team, Harkins underwent the procedure at Cedars Sinai Medical Center after sustaining a hand injury on March 24 in a game against Vancouver. The surgery was performed by Dr. David Hay.

Harkins has played in 44 games this season, recording three goals and five assists for a total of eight points. He joined the Ducks as a free agent on July 2, 2024.

The Ducks will look to adjust their lineup as Harkins recovers over the next month.
