The Anaheim Ducks will face the St. Louis Blues at Honda Center as they aim for their third consecutive win before heading out on a four-game road trip. The game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on Victory+ and KCOP-13.
Tonight’s game marks the fourth annual Women in Sports Night celebration for Anaheim, presented by Columbia Bank. Before the game, a mixer will take place to connect professionals from the Anaheim Ducks, San Diego Gulls, Honda Center, and OCVIBE.
The Ducks recently achieved their 19th comeback victory of the season with a 6-5 shootout win over the Montreal Canadiens on Friday. This marked their fifth comeback win in the last six games and returned them to first place in the Pacific Division with 73 points. Anaheim now leads Vegas by one point and Edmonton by five points in the division standings.
Chris Kreider played a significant role against Montreal, scoring the game-tying goal in the third period and recording four points—one goal and three assists. Cutter Gauthier and Alex Killorn contributed during the shootout phase, while goaltender Lukas Dostal stopped 23 shots in regulation and overtime. Dostal has posted a 12-2-0 record over his last 14 appearances.
“It’s good to come up with two points,” Kreider said. “I think that’s one of those games coaches don’t enjoy but fans do, right? So, exciting game, but some things we can definitely do better going forward.”
All six goals scored by Anaheim came from different players during that contest, demonstrating depth in their offensive lineup as they approach a crucial part of the season.
“There’s just a lot of young talent in the room,” Kreider said. “A lot of guys who have game-breaking skill and do stuff that, honestly, I’ve never seen before. At any point in time, those guys can break out and score goals.”
New acquisition John Carlson joined practice yesterday after being traded to Anaheim this season. With ten goals so far this year, Carlson becomes the ninth player on the Ducks roster to reach double-digit goals.
The St. Louis Blues are also entering tonight’s matchup with momentum following three straight wins despite currently sitting outside playoff contention. On Friday night they secured a 3-2 overtime victory against San Jose Sharks; Robert Thomas scored twice—including an overtime winner—and leads St. Louis with 39 points this season.
This is the second meeting between Anaheim and St. Louis this season; Anaheim won their previous encounter 4-1 in December.
