The Anaheim Ducks are set to face the Calgary Flames on Apr. 4 in their last regular season meeting, with both teams looking to rebound from recent losses. The game will begin at 7 p.m. Pacific Time and will be broadcast on FOX 11 and Victory+.

This matchup comes after Anaheim suffered a heavy 6-2 defeat to the St. Louis Blues, where Ryan Poehling contributed a goal and an assist, and Jeffrey Viel added another score for the Ducks. Head coach Joel Quenneville said, “We even have a decent start, and then we gave them three goals in the first period that were definitely all our faults. They gave us a good education on playing a real solid team game, and we didn’t play with the urgency that was needed and are capable of sustaining their game. We chased the puck a lot.”

The outcome of this game carries significant weight as Anaheim remains tied with Edmonton atop the Pacific Division standings at 87 points each; however, Edmonton currently holds the tiebreaker advantage over Anaheim for first place.

Ryan Poehling addressed the team’s situation following their latest loss: “Everyone knows the scenario that we’re in,” Poehling said postgame. “Last two games, I thought we played good hockey. Tonight wasn’t the case.” All remaining Ducks games this season are against Western Conference opponents, increasing tonight’s importance as part of a back-to-back series.

Anaheim has won all three previous matchups against Calgary this season—each requiring overtime or shootouts—and aims to continue its unbeaten streak in this final encounter between both teams during regular play.

Quenneville emphasized focus ahead: “Let’s find a way to take care of our business, and we’ve got a lot of business to take care of here.” The Flames also enter tonight’s contest seeking improvement after losing their last two games—the most recent being a 6-3 defeat by Vegas Golden Knights.

Player availability remains uncertain for Cutter Gauthier, Radko Gudas, and Pavel Mintyukov; Quenneville described Gauthier as “questionable at best” for facing Calgary.
