The Anaheim Ducks have recalled goaltender Ville Husso from the San Diego Gulls, their primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). The team also announced that forward Mikael Granlund has been placed on Injured Reserve.
Husso, 30, has played 145 career NHL games with Anaheim, Detroit, and St. Louis. He holds a record of 71-46-19 with seven shutouts, a 3.05 goals-against average (GAA), and a .901 save percentage (SV%). After signing a two-year contract extension with Anaheim on June 29, 2025, Husso recorded a 1-1-1 record with a 2.99 GAA and .925 SV% in four appearances for the Ducks during the 2024-25 season.

In his time there, he posted a 6-4-3 record with three shutouts, a 2.49 GAA and .908 SV% in 13 appearances. At the time of his recall to Anaheim, he was tied for the league lead in both shutouts and appearances in the AHL. Since joining San Diego following his acquisition by Anaheim, Husso has compiled a record of 13-6-3 with five shutouts over 22 games; these five shutouts tie him for most in San Diego Gulls AHL history alongside Lukas Dostal.
Throughout his AHL career with teams including San Diego, Grand Rapids, San Antonio and Chicago, Husso is credited with an overall record of 72-64-19 across 165 games. He has registered eighteen shutouts along with a cumulative goals-against average of 2.66 and save percentage of .909.
