The Bethune–Cookman Lady Wildcats, featuring former Buena Park High School athlete Mia Gonzalez, earned a 7-3 victory over the Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs in their NCAA Division I softball matchup Friday, March 6, at 2 p.m.
The contest was held at Bulldog Softball Field and marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.
Gonzalez pitched five innings, surrendering two earned runs with three walks and four strikeouts.
The Lady Wildcats are set to face the Lady Bulldogs again at Bulldog Softball Field on Saturday, March 7.
