Six Anaheim Ducks prospects will participate in the 2026 NCAA Hockey Tournament, which begins on March 26. The players—Roger McQueen (Providence College), Eric Nilson (Michigan State), Drew Schock (Michigan), Alexandre Blais and Anthony Allain-Samake (UConn), and Kyle Kukkonen (Wisconsin)—will represent their respective schools in the national competition.
Their participation highlights a connection between collegiate success and professional hockey, as they have the opportunity to join three current Ducks players who previously won NCAA championship titles: Chris Kreider with Boston College in 2010 and 2012, Troy Terry with the University of Denver in 2017, and Tim Washe with Western Michigan in 2025.
Roger McQueen was selected by Anaheim in the first round of the 2025 draft. He was named Hockey East Rookie of the Year for Providence after scoring 27 points across his freshman season. Eric Nilson, drafted by Anaheim in the second round last year, contributed to Michigan State’s top-seeded campaign while also helping Sweden secure gold at this year’s World Junior Championship. Drew Schock recorded ten points for Michigan during his freshman season after being chosen by Anaheim in the fourth round.
Anthony Allain-Samake helped UConn reach its conference championship game and is making a second straight tournament appearance alongside teammate Alexandre Blais. Blais scored nineteen points this season after joining from Rimouski of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Senior Kyle Kukkonen will make his second tournament appearance for Wisconsin following a productive junior year.
The schedule includes matchups such as Providence versus Quinnipiac and Michigan State against UConn on March 26, followed by additional games through March leading up to semifinals on April 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
