CALIFORNIA STATE ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 65: OC Register: Drive-thru Coronavirus testing begins at 2 OC locations

Healthnews

California State Assembly District 65 issued the following announcement on March 17.

A pair of medical centers in Orange County are the first local health facilities to begin drive-thru swabbing for the novel coronavirus.

The two sites on Monday, March 16, set up outdoor stations to swab the nose or throat of people seeking to be tested for the infection. Both facilities running the drive-thru testing are part of the Providence health system, but a spokesman for Providence would not confirm the locations.

The infection has led to at least 68 deaths around the country, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That number includes six people in California who died after contracting the COVID-19 disease caused by the virus.
