Former Villa Park High School standout Sydney Somerndike, now a junior pitcher for the UCLA Bruins, saw her team suffer an 8-7 defeat to the Texas Tech Lady Raiders in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, May 31.

The contest was held at Devon Park and started at 4 p.m.
