UCLA tops Washington 9-1 in NCAA Division I softball as Aleena Garcia scores twice

On Sunday, April 26, at 1 p.m., former Whittier Christian High School standout Aleena Garcia helped lead her college squad, the UCLA Bruins, to a 9-1 NCAA Division I softball win over the Washington Huskies.

The contest was held at Husky Softball Stadium and marked the third meeting between the two teams this season. The series remains tied so far.

Garcia went 1-for-2 at the plate, delivering two runs, one RBI and drawing a walk.

The Bruins will next play on Friday, May 1, when they host the Oregon Ducks at Easton Stadium.
