Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, shared a series of posts on her social media account in mid-March 2026, addressing business challenges, personal faith, and state-level governance issues.
On March 14, 2026, Kim wrote about her experience as a small business owner and recent engagement with local business leaders: “As a former small business owner, I know how challenging it is to keep the doors open & the lights on. Great to convene a Business Advisory meeting with local business leaders to discuss my work in Congress to crack down on organized retail crime & cut red tape so Main Street”.
The following day, March 15, she posted a biblical verse: “Romans 12:12: ‘Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.'”
Later that same day, Kim criticized California’s leadership regarding fraud prevention: “California is living in the age of fraud because Gavin Newsom and Sacramento Democrats have been asleep at the wheel. This is negligence & hardworking Californians are paying the price.”
Kim has represented California’s 40th congressional district since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra at age 60, Kim graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1985.
