Young Kim, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, posted several statements on her Twitter account on March 19, 2026, addressing issues ranging from public safety to government oversight.
In one post, Kim expressed appreciation for advocates working to improve carbon monoxide safety standards. She wrote: “Grateful for the Heathco family & their tireless advocacy to strengthen carbon monoxide safety standards & protect families. I’m proud to support the Safe Stay Act to ensure everyone is safe from carbon monoxide when they stay at hotels & public accommodations.” (March 19, 2026)
Later that day, Kim commented on national security and drug trafficking concerns. She stated: “When we fail to protect our country, fentanyl floods in, cartels thrive, & families suffer. Democrats need to stop playing games with DHS funding & the safety & security of EVERY American.” (March 19, 2026)
Kim also addressed alleged Medicare fraud in Los Angeles in another post: “Nothing suspicious here: a single LA building with a salon, a modeling agency, & 89 FAKE hospices to fleece Medicare for billions. This needs to be shutdown now before another penny is stolen from taxpayers.” (March 19, 2026)
Kim has represented California’s 40th district in Congress since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra, she earned her BBA from the University of Southern California in 1985.
