Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, addressed issues of national security, fraud prevention, and hospice scams in a series of tweets posted on March 24, 2026.
In her first post that day, Kim discussed recent conversations about federal funding and fraud concerns. She wrote: “Great chatting with @JenniferHorn last week about DHS funding, national security, & Gavin Newsom’s fraud crisis. I will always put Californians first & keep working with @POTUS to crack down on fraud. Time to bring our Golden State into its Golden Age.” (March 24, 2026)
Later the same day, Kim commented on the confirmation of Markwayne Mullin as Secretary of Homeland Security: “Great to see my former colleague Markwayne Mullin confirmed as the new Secretary of Homeland Security! Now let’s secure our southern border, enforce our laws, & FULLY FUND DHS to protect the safety & security of every American.” (March 24, 2026)
Kim also highlighted legislative action against hospice fraud in California. She stated: “Congress is taking action on California’s rampant hospice fraud. Scammers are stealing millions of taxpayer dollars & preying on CA seniors. We can’t take our foot off the gas now. We need to pass the No More SCAMS Act!” (March 24, 2026)
Young Kim has represented California’s 40th District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. She was born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently resides in La Habra. Kim graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1985.
