Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on March 11, 2026, addressing recent legislative developments and state policy issues.
In her first post of the day, Kim referenced recent House action on election security: “The House did its part & passed the SAVE America Act – because secure elections with voter ID & only American citizens voting just makes sense. It’s time for the Senate to step up & deliver for the American People!” (March 11, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Kim highlighted her role on the House Financial Services Committee and discussed legislation affecting local economies: “As a member of the House Financial Services Committee, I’m proud to lead & support legislation that makes a difference at kitchen tables across Orange, Riverside & San Bernardino Counties. Community Bank LIFT Act: Cut red tape, boost community banks, & fuel small business” (March 11, 2026).
In her final post of the day, Kim criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom over gas prices in the state: “Newsom complaining about CA gas prices… LOL. His reckless policies and ever-increasing gas taxes caused this mess, and now he’s trying to shift the blame. California families want relief at the pump, not you blaming all your problems on @POTUS.” (March 11, 2026).
Kim has represented California’s 40th District in Congress since defeating Gil Cisneros in 2021. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016 and holds a BBA from the University of Southern California. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962, Kim currently resides in La Habra.
