Young Kim, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, has recently posted a series of updates on her official Twitter account addressing local governance issues and federal tax relief measures.
On March 20, 2026, Kim drew attention to concerns about alleged fraud in state-funded programs. She wrote, “NEW in Newsom’s haunted house of fraud: ‘ghost’ clinics & daycares shelling out fake services & billing billions in taxpayer dollars. Make it stop!” (March 20, 2026).
Later the same day, she highlighted her engagement with regional infrastructure leaders. Kim stated, “Great meeting today with leaders from the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority. Appreciate their hard work on regional projects that ease congestion, improve safety, & connect our communities better. I’ll keep working to move Inland Empire forward!” (March 20, 2026).
On March 21, Kim discussed recent changes affecting taxpayers and families. She announced via Twitter: “As families file their taxes, they’re going to see BIG returns: Quadrupled $40,000 SALT Cap Increased child tax credit & $1,000 TRUMP Accounts for newborns No tax on tips, overtime or social security Proud to work with @POTUS to deliver this relief. More to come!” (March 21, 2026).
Young Kim has served as the representative for California’s 40th district since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously held office in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra at age 60, Kim is also an alumna of the University of Southern California where she earned a BBA in 1985.
