U.S. Congresswoman Young Kim, who represents California’s 40th district, recently posted a series of statements on her social media account addressing topics ranging from healthcare innovation to international security and federal funding for air traffic controllers.
On November 3, 2025, Kim highlighted her visit to a local business in Orange County: “As Breast Cancer Awareness Month came to a close, I was honored to visit PreludeDx, a Laguna Hills company committed to reducing unnecessary radiation & improving health outcomes for women. I’ll keep fighting to ensure innovations like theirs remain accessible to all Americans.”
Turning her attention overseas the following day, Kim expressed concerns about the expansion of Chinese diplomatic presence in Europe. On November 4, 2025, she wrote: “The Chinese Communist Party wants to build its largest embassy in Europe—right in the heart of London’s financial district. The CCP has always exploited access for espionage. I’m urging the UK to safeguard our shared security interests & push back on Beijing’s super-embassy.”
Later that same day, Kim addressed domestic policy issues regarding airport operations and federal funding. She stated: “The National Air Traffic Controllers Association is calling on Washington Democrats to pass the clean funding bill Republicans voted for weeks ago. @SenSchumer will you listen to the will of the people — or keep playing chicken with America’s airports?”
Kim has served as U.S. Representative since 2021 after previously serving in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016 and replacing Gil Cisneros in Congress that year. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1985.
