Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district since 2021, addressed a series of current issues in recent posts on her social media account.
On December 3, 2025, Kim commented on a recent tragedy involving an undocumented immigrant in California: “An illegal alien unlawfully entered the U.S. FOUR TIMES before running over & killing an 11-year-old boy right here in CA. What a senseless tragedy, & the alleged perpetrator should not have even been in our country. This is a direct result of Gavin Newsom’s disastrous https://t.co/1X1j0A1GAl”.
Later that same day, Kim expressed appreciation for the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS), writing on December 3, 2025: “Thank you to @APAICS for hosting a powerful year-end briefing. We’re focused on what matters: economic growth, public safety, & empowering Asian American voices nationwide. https://t.co/l8xew3ZgDa”.
On December 5, 2025, Kim responded to reports of antisemitism at a house of worship: “This is absolutely reprehensible. Antisemitism has no place in America & no one should stand by as people are intimidated at a house of worship. I stand with and am praying for our Jewish community.
