Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 40th district, has recently shared her views on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Her statements address topics ranging from tax policy to public safety and wildfire management.

On June 17, 2025, Kim announced her initiative to introduce bipartisan legislation aimed at improving wildfire response capabilities. Collaborating with Representative Adam Gray from California, she is advocating for the WRAP Act to provide communities with essential resources for managing wildfires effectively. She expressed this in her tweet saying, “Timely response to a wildfire can make the difference between life & death. That’s why I’m introducing the bipartisan WRAP Act with @RepAdamGrayCA to help equip our communities with the manpower & tools needed to contain wildfires & save lives.”
Young Kim has been serving in Congress since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra, she graduated from USC with a BBA.
