Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, addressed issues ranging from fraud prevention to state energy policies in a series of posts on April 4 and 5, 2026.
On April 4, Kim advocated for federal action against fraud, writing, “Fraud is like a burst pipe flooding every crack in California’s foundations. A unified federal task force is exactly what we need to plug the leaks & protect every taxpayer dollar. It’s time to pass my No More Scams Act!”
Later that day, she criticized California’s energy policies and rising gas prices: “No surprises here. CA’s disastrous state policies have tightened supply & continue to drive gas prices miles high. It’s time for @GavinNewsom to stop the excuses & fix Sacramento’s costly energy policies.”
On April 5, Kim shared an Easter message with her followers: “‘He is not here; He has risen!’ —Luke 24:6 Happy Easter! Let us rejoice in hope & blessings with family.”
Kim has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Gil Cisneros and previously held office in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962, she resides in La Habra and holds a BBA from the University of Southern California.
