Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, posted a series of tweets on January 6, 2026, addressing both legislative priorities and the loss of a congressional colleague.
In her first tweet on January 6, Kim advocated for cryptocurrency policy reform, stating: “Crypto leadership is the next frontier of American innovation. 2026 must be the year that we sign the CLARITY Act into law & secure America’s spot as the world’s leader in crypto!”.
Later that day, Kim expressed condolences over the passing of Doug LaMalfa, writing: “I am heartbroken to hear of the loss of my dear friend and colleague, Doug LaMalfa. For more than a decade, Doug served the people of California with integrity, conviction, and a deep love for our country. He was a strong conservative lawmaker who never wavered in his commitment”.
A third tweet posted by Kim at 15:01 UTC included only a link: “https://t.co/8ReHYHPj8h”.
