Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 40th district since 2021, shared several updates on her official Twitter account on April 1, 2026.

In a post at 21:00 UTC, Kim addressed border security and funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), stating, “The American People voted for a secure border. Now that @POTUS has delivered & border crossings are down more than 90%, Washington Democrats want to put all that at risk. We need to get DHS funded now so we can continue to deliver on promises made to Americans.”

Later that evening at 22:30 UTC, Kim highlighted her participation in a veterans’ event, writing, “I was grateful to join the 15th Annual WICC Veterans Military Gala! As a proud wife & sister of U.S. Army veterans, I will always have our veterans’ backs. Honored to celebrate the service & sacrifice of those who have so fiercely defended our freedoms. “

At 23:17 UTC, she commented on America’s space ambitions with the message: “AMERICA IS GOING BACK ON THE MOON To Mars & beyond, America leads. Always have. Always will.”

Kim began serving in Congress after replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. She was born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently resides in La Habra. Kim graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1985.
