Young Kim, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, shared updates on her recent activities and policy positions through a series of posts on March 21 and 22, 2026.
On March 21, Kim participated in a panel focused on financial technology and blockchain. She stated, “Great to join @DigitalChamber’s panel on the future of fintech & blockchain. Encouraged to see so many inspiring leaders driving technology in financial services. I’ll keep working in Congress to advance smart policies that strengthen innovation & keep America competitive.”
Later that day, she met with advocates for type 1 diabetes from Anaheim Hills. In her post, Kim wrote, “Great meeting with dedicated type 1 diabetes advocates from Anaheim Hills! Over 2 million Americans live with T1D, & too many in our community are impacted. I’ll keep fighting in Congress to advance research, improve treatment, & support those living with this condition.”
On March 22, Kim addressed national political issues by criticizing current federal policies and state governance. She posted: “I’m fighting to reverse Joe Biden’s failed policies & stop democrats from bringing Gavin Newsom’s California RUINING agenda to Washington. We must lower costs, crack down on crime, & bring sanity back to our Golden State.”
Kim has represented California’s 40th district since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra at age 60, she holds a BBA from the University of Southern California.
