Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, shared updates on community investment legislation, constituent services, and concerns about federal worker uncertainty in a series of posts on November 6, 2025.
In her first post at 01:37 UTC, Kim stated: “When we give our banks the tools they need to invest in our communities, Main Street wins. Proud to help introduce the Community Investment & Prosperity Act to empower our communities & make homeownership more attainable for everyday Americans.”
Later that day at 02:48 UTC, she invited constituents to seek assistance with federal agencies: “Do you need help with a federal agency? Join my team for El Modena Office Hours at the El Modena Branch Library tomorrow. We’re here to serve you always.”
Addressing broader national issues at 18:18 UTC, Kim expressed concern for government employees affected by political gridlock: “Today, TSA agents, law enforcement, federal workers, & troops face uncertainty about how they’ll put food on the table. No one should go hungry because of Democrat dysfunction in Washington. If you or someone you know needs food support, call 2-1-1 or visit”
Kim has represented California’s 40th congressional district since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a BBA in 1985.
