Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, highlighted her legislative efforts and community engagement in a series of posts on social media between May 6 and May 7, 2026.
On May 6, Kim wrote about her support for tax relief measures: “I was proud to fight for the Working Families Tax Cut & deliver real relief for Californians. Great speaking with @jennfierhorn about the impact this is making for families across Orange, Riverside, & San Bernadino Counties!”
The following day, she addressed concerns over state financial management and fraud: “Every day in California it’s something new. Billions in unemployment scams, millions in hospice fraud, & another $114 million to Newsom’s butterfly bridge—all while families struggle to make ends meet. I’m leading No More SCAMS Act to put Newsom’s fraud saga to bed.”
Later on May 7, Kim marked the National Day of Prayer with a message focused on faith and unity: “The power of prayer is immeasurable. On #NationalDayofPrayer, let us show forth God’s praise not only with our lips, but in our lives. Today, we pray for hope, healing, & hearts eager to serve. May we never lose sight of God’s grace & many blessings we share as Americans.”
Kim has represented California’s 40th District since 2021 after defeating Gil Cisneros and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra at age 60, Kim holds a BBA from the University of Southern California.
