Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 40th district, shared updates on her recent community engagements through social media posts. These activities highlight her involvement in local events and recognition of community leaders.
On June 19, 2025, Young Kim expressed her enjoyment in attending the 36th Anniversary of the St. Angela Merici Parish School SummerFest. She described it as “the largest community event in North Orange County,” celebrating food, family, and fun over three days.
The following day, June 20, 2025, she reported that her team participated in the Rancho Santa Margarita Water District’s Festival. This event allowed them to connect with community members and learn about the water district’s support for the area.
Later on June 20, Young Kim congratulated Ed Reynolds and Tammis Berkheimer via a post for being named Tustin’s man and woman of the year. She praised their “excellence in volunteerism and leadership” and expressed gratitude for their contributions to the Tustin community.
Young Kim has been serving in Congress since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021. Prior to this role, she served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962, Kim graduated from the University of Southern California with a BBA in 1985 and currently resides in La Habra.
