Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, posted a series of updates on September 24, 2025, highlighting local business developments, youth empowerment initiatives, and her participation at the United Nations General Assembly.

In her first post at 00:15 UTC, Kim wrote: “Excited to welcome RE:SET Scalp Care Head Spa to Orange County! Founded by 3 friends, RE:SET is bringing innovation, wellness, and time-honored Japanese rituals to our community.”

Later that morning at 01:30 UTC, she shared her impressions from a local event supporting young women in fire service careers. Kim stated: “I was truly inspired to see so many outstanding young women join @OCFireAuthority’s Girls Empowerment Camp. We need all hands on deck to take on the wildfire challenges of tomorrow. I’m proud to see these future leaders already stepping up.”

In an international context later that day at 17:22 UTC, Kim discussed her role at the UN General Assembly. She said: “Honored to represent the United States at this year’s UN General Assembly. I spoke with @AndrewDesiderio about why we must push back on CCP coercion, deepen ties with Pacific Island partners, & ensure the U.S. remains at the head of the table—or risk Beijing rewriting the rules.”

Kim has served in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Gil Cisneros and previously held office in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1985.
