U.S. Congresswoman Young Kim, who represents California’s 40th district, highlighted local public safety and community service organizations in a series of posts on March 23, 2026.

In her first post at 19:00 UTC, Kim attended an event honoring firefighters and stated, “Honored to join the grand opening of the Call to Adventure California Fire Museum in Orange. Our firefighters keep the community safe day in & day out. I’ll keep fighting to give them the resources they need & honor their essential work.”

Later that evening at 20:50 UTC, she expressed support for law enforcement with a brief message: “BACK THE BLUE!”

At 22:00 UTC, Kim recognized a local nonprofit organization’s achievements, writing, “Grateful to present the 2025 Nonprofit of the Year award to Ronald McDonald House Orange County at the Orange State of the City! For 35+ years, they’ve provided a home away from home for families facing childhood illness. Proud to recognize their outstanding work.”

Young Kim has served as U.S. Representative for California’s 40th District since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021. She previously held office in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra, Kim graduated from the University of Southern California with a BBA in 1985.
