Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, recently addressed several issues on her social media account, ranging from education policy to tax relief and international events.
On December 9, 2025, Kim posted about the passage of legislation targeting foreign influence in American schools. She stated, “The CCP wants to influence young minds & shape America’s future. Later that day, she commented on tax policy for working families. In her post dated December 9, 2025, Kim wrote, “The Working Families Tax Cut puts families first — lowering taxes, boosting paychecks, & helping Californians keep more of what they earn. I’m proud to fight for affordability every single day & will always go to bat for the American Dream.”

Kim has represented California’s 40th District in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Gil Cisneros and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra at age 60, she is also an alumna of the University of Southern California with a BBA earned in 1985.
