U.S. Congresswoman Young Kim, who represents California’s 40th district, posted a series of messages on her social media account highlighting local businesses and expressing appreciation for healthcare workers in Orange County.
On August 23, 2025, Kim celebrated a local food establishment with the post: “Happy #NationalBaoDay! Grateful for restaurants like Super Dumpling in Orange that serve up authentic flavors and bring our community together over bao.”
Later that day, she acknowledged healthcare professionals at a local hospital, writing: “Thank you to the incredible team at Providence St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange for your compassion & dedication to patients in our community. I’ll keep working to support our medical workforce, improve care, & help providers meet patients’ unique needs.”
The following day, August 24, Kim visited another restaurant and discussed legislative efforts: “Stopped by Zov’s in Tustin to discuss how the One Big Beautiful Bill will help restaurants & workers, from ending taxes on tips & overtime to preserving the 199A deduction. I will keep fighting for commonsense, pro-worker policies that help local businesses like Zov’s grow,”
Kim has represented California’s 40th congressional district since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016 and holds a BBA from the University of Southern California. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962, Kim currently resides in La Habra.
