In a tweet posted at 01:15 UTC on July 29, Kim celebrated a local figure in the diving community: “So proud to celebrate a local legend at the Marguerite Aquatics Center in Mission Viejo! The newly dedicated Ron O’Brien Dive Well honors a man whose legacy shaped generations of divers. Thank you to USA Diving & the entire MAC community for making waves in & out of the pool.”
Later that day at 02:28 UTC, she addressed human rights issues abroad: “It’s tragic that executions at the hands of the Iran regime are on the rise. The United States cannot lose sight of the regime we’re dealing with. I stand with the Iranian people and against Tehran’s crimes.”

Kim has represented California’s 40th District since replacing Gil Cisneros in Congress in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra, she earned her BBA from the University of Southern California in 1985.
