Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, has recently highlighted legislative efforts and national security developments through a series of posts on her official social media account.
On December 19, 2025, Kim addressed the challenges faced by families affected by early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. She stated, “A diagnosis of young-onset Alzheimer’s is devastating enough. I’m introducing the BRIDGE for Young-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease Act so families can focus on care—not bureaucratic delays—when every moment matters.”
Later that day, Kim commented on the signing of a major national security bill by President Biden. In her post dated December 19, 2025, she wrote: “Signed. Sealed. Delivered. @POTUS just signed a sweeping national security bill into law — including my provisions to: Push back on CCP intimidation & economic coercion Accelerate AUKUS defense coordination to counter the CCP Support Korean American families divided by”
On December 20, 2025, Kim referenced recent military actions and U.S. foreign policy under President Biden’s administration: “Under @POTUS, America leads with strength, and our enemies know to fear us. Today, our brave men and women in uniform sent a clear message: there are swift and overwhelming consequences for anyone targeting Americans.”
Kim has represented California’s 40th district in Congress since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a BBA in 1985.
