Young Kim, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, posted a series of updates on her social media account between April 2 and April 3, 2026. Her posts addressed tax filing season, border security efforts, and Good Friday.

On April 2, Kim encouraged constituents to file their taxes and highlighted the benefits of recent tax policy changes: “If you haven’t filed your taxes yet—what are you waiting for? Great chatting with @jenniferhorn about the real relief from this year’s Working Families Tax Cuts & why families should expect big FAT tax returns this season.”

The following day, she credited bipartisan leadership for improvements in border security: “In just one year, @Potus and republicans have secured the border, and: Cut fentanyl trafficking by 56% Stopped cartel-linked criminals Rescued 60,000+ children from trafficking These kinds of results don’t happen by accident. That’s what America First leadership delivers.”

Later that day, Kim marked Good Friday with a religious message: ‘By his wounds you have been healed.’ —1 Peter 2:24 Wishing all a blessed Good Friday!”

Kim has represented California’s 40th district in Congress since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962, Kim is currently based in La Habra. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a BBA in 1985.
