The Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend is set to return to Anaheim, featuring both a half marathon and a 10K route. The event will take place across city streets and extend into neighboring Garden Grove.

Participants can look forward to combining their enthusiasm for running with the Disney experience. However, those not participating should be aware of potential impacts on local traffic during the early morning hours of Sunday, February 2.

This event draws visitors to Anaheim during a typically quieter period for theme parks. Both runs are scheduled for early mornings, with most road disruptions occurring between 4:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

The 10K run is slated for Saturday morning, February 1, in The Anaheim Resort area and will have minimal impact beyond this immediate vicinity. Meanwhile, the half marathon on Sunday morning will start at the theme parks, pass through The Anaheim Resort, and continue into Garden Grove.

The half marathon is expected to cause more significant traffic impacts due to limited road closures, primarily affecting Harbor Boulevard, Katella Avenue, and 9th Street in Anaheim. In Garden Grove, closures will mainly affect Harbor Boulevard, Euclid Street, and Chapman Avenue. These disruptions are anticipated to clear by 9:00 a.m.

Residents are advised to plan ahead and avoid route streets where possible for convenience. While neighborhoods will maintain local access, some business access may be temporarily affected.

Officials thank residents for their patience as they welcome visitors who contribute economically by spending on hotels, dining, and shopping—revenue that supports services such as police protection, fire safety measures, parks maintenance, libraries operations along with community centers for both residents and businesses in Anaheim.
