ANAHEIM, Calif. (Sept. 3, 2024) — The Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon weekend begins Friday, with notable impacts on city streets due to the events.

Participants will experience a combination of running and Disney-themed activities. For non-participants, it is important to be aware of the event schedule and related road closures. Detailed run route maps and information on road closures are available.

Road closures and traffic rerouting will occur from early morning hours, primarily between 4-10 a.m., with most streets reopening around 8-9 a.m. Businesses and homeowners will have access, though there may be brief periods without access.

The half marathon on Sunday will cause significant road impacts as it extends from The Anaheim Resort to the Platinum Triangle area, including Angel Stadium of Anaheim, ARTIC, and Honda Center. Limited early morning disruptions are expected along Harbor Boulevard, Katella Avenue, Ball Road, State College Boulevard, among others.

Spectators are encouraged to cheer on runners at locations such as the stadium, arena, and ARTIC for optimal viewing.

Saturday’s 10K event will take place in and around the theme parks within The Anaheim Resort area. This race will also cause limited early morning disruptions along Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue.

For those interested in participating in the races, it should be noted that all entries are sold out.

Questions regarding this weekend’s events can be directed to (909) 964-8728.

City officials appreciate residents' patience as they welcome visitors during this period. The half marathon weekend occurs during a slower visitor season post-summer peak but before the busy holiday period. It brings an influx of visitors who contribute economically by staying in hotels and patronizing local businesses.
